On Elevators : Being an old-fashioned type of guy I still tend to hold a door open for a lady.

But what is the protocol, do you go through first and then hold the door, or stand back and hold the door letting the lady through first?

This is compounded by elevators. Do you stand outside and hold the doors from sliding shut while the lady enters, or enter first, holding the door, and manning the buttons before asking "Which floor?". I tend to tdo the latter thse days.
