On The Press
During the Iraq War the objectivity of the press again came into question, though I remember the debate heating up when Fox News became popular.
Quite a few people who's views I pay attention to if not admire have been saying for quite a while that they turned to foreign news organizations such as the BBC for fair and balanced reporting of news in the US.
I don't necessarily think that this is becaue the BBC has "better" reporters than the US news organizations. I think it is because they have more objectivity. When the BBC reports on news in the US they do not have a Democrat or Repulican slant because there are no Republicans or Democrats in the UK. The BBC has certainly been accused of being left of center, but that doesn't necessarily translate to a bias to the Democrat side when reporting US news.
Maybe if you want unbiased reporting you should look to how the news is reported by news agencies outside of your own country, where the reporters have no personal bias or interests to get in the way.
